UAE Rejects Claims of Financial Transfers to Iran

(MENAFN) The United Arab Emirates firmly refuted media reports on Friday alleging that monetary assets had been moved from the Gulf nation to Iran, including assertions involving a sum of $3 billion.

In an official statement, the Foreign Ministry declared: "The United Arab Emirates has categorically denied reports published by certain international media outlets alleging the transfer of funds from the UAE to the Islamic Republic of Iran, including allegations concerning USD 3 billion."

Describing the accusations as "entirely false and unfounded," the ministry emphasized that "no frozen Iranian funds have been released, transferred, or facilitated through the UAE."

The ministry further called on news organizations and media platforms to maintain professional standards, urging them to "exercise accuracy, rely on official sources, and refrain from publishing or circulating unverified information and unfounded allegations."
